Welcome to Mannequin World
The fashion blog, Refinery 29, recently published a slideshow of “The Weirdest Mannequins Known To Man.” Check out the link! It’s a cute read, whether you’re really into display mannequins (like we are) or not.
There certainly is a lot of creative possibility in the world of display mannequins, both in the making of the mannequins and, of course, in how shopkeepers dress and arrange them for display. Our collection ranges from sexy, realistic male and female mannequins to sleek, chrome conceptual heads. We’ve got child mannequins, mannequin legs, torsos. You can get as weird as you want to, or stay more traditional. Any which way, if you ask us, the more eye-catching the display, the better.
We thought that from time to time, we could use this blog to feature fun things we’ve found that artists and shopkeepers have done with the display mannequins we sell!
Today’s is a real artist, Magda Rust, who transforms female mannequin heads into pieces of deco-style art that can be used for display in boutiques, shops or homes. Her “girls” resemble wild and lovely flappers. Courtney Love bought one. Others stand on display in chic boutiques across the world, from the UK all the way to Dubai! Here are a few of them for your viewing pleasure. Visit her website to see more.
